To take part in this event you must first obtain a code from a participating retailer. In the UK you can get a code from GAME stores until the 25th of August. In North America you can get codes from Gamestop until the 26th of August. In Canada and Australia you'll be able to get codes from EB Games until the 25th of August in Australia and the 26th of August in Canada. The details of the two Pokémon are as follows:

Pokémon fans in the US and Canada will need to be signed up to the Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter by March 1st to get a special code for either Heatran or Regigigas. Players with Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Ultra Sun will be able to get Regigigas, while owners of Pokémon Moon and Pokémon Ultra Moon will be able to get a Heatran.
If you're in Europe then the event will be held over the Nintendo Network, so you'll just need to use the mystery gift option in-game. As we previously reported, TPCi has designated 2018 as a year of celebration for all of our beloved (and lesser loved) Legendary Pokémon. Kicking things off is a retail distribution of Dialga and Palkia, which will span the month of February (ending on February 28th).

Today Pokemon.com have announced a whole host of new distributions for Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon under a new Legendary collection of events.
