StellarWind Elsydeon Holy shift, I have not posted art in bloody ages. And in truth, I haven't had the time and/or energy to draw for just as long. Thank eff for my art classes for providing me with some meditation time with oil-paints.

I've been working on this one for the last few weeks - a phoenix-type avian of some sort, basking in the sun's rays. There's a bit more nuance to this piece in person (faint bits of gold and minute details that blend into the feathers), but there's only so much I could do with the camera.

    Absolutely beautiful. I can't help wanting to walk behind those trees and step into the light. I'm not a morning person but I love this painting, especially how you made the trees in the background lighter.
