Tali blinked. She looked down at herself and noticed that she was still an eevee.
Good grief! She thought. As a leaf fluttered down on her pelt, she noticed that there was an ekans in the grass. An alarm went off in her head, and she felt a very familiar sensation.
Her bones all broke and formed new bones, her flesh reshaping and turning green. She had evolved into a leafeon this time.
The ekans quickly turned around fled. Tali was safe for now, but not for long. It was almost noon.
At exactly noon, her bones shaped back into an eevee's, and her fur went back to brown.
There was a very surprised 'squeak' from behind a bush. Tali went to investigate and found a chikorita.
"D-did you just DEvolve??" He asked Tali.
"Um...Yeah." Tali said cautiously. "Why?"
"What do you mean 'Why'?! Devolving, like, never happens!!!" He said. Tali could tell that he probably used the word 'like' too much.
"Ugh. Just leaf me alone. I'm bushed." Tali snorted and walked away. She could hear the chikorita laughing. Thankfully, he didn't follow her.

It was now night time.Tali tried curling up in her nest by the river, but a very annoying hoothoot wouldn't stop crowing into the night.
Tali growled at hootoot, but that just made things worse. The hootoot started dive-bombing her!
That sensation ashes over her body again. Her bones broke, her flesh stretched and changed. Her ears grew, and her tail got longer. Now, her fur was black, and there were yellow rings on her pelt.
Tali had just evolved into an umbreon. The hoothoot quickly left Tali alone after her evolution. There was still a problem.
Umbreons are mainly nocturnal! So now, Tali can't get to sleep. She let out a howl of frustration and swiped her new claws at a tree. The bark shredded and fell to the ground. Now, Tali got an idea.
With her recently obtained claws, she started marking the trees nearby her nest. This would let other pokemon know that if they wanted a home, they should look elsewhere, because this was her ground, her trees, and her food and water!
At dawn, Tali was finally able to curl up and go to sleep. And when Tali woke again, after noon had passed, something greatly surprised her.
Tali was still an umbreon! After evolving into vaporeon to survive a flood, after evolving into flareon to survive a forest fire, after evolving into jolteon to save a flock of taillow, after evolving into espeon to take over the mind of a human wanting to steal all of the pokemon, and after evolving into leafeon to protect herself from other pokemon, she would stay an umbreon.
There would be no more bone-breakings, no more flesh-stretchings, no more organ-shatterings, no more brain-moldings. Tali would stay an umbreon, somehow. The chikorita from before was staring at Tali in surprise.
"Y-you...You didn't devolve!" He exclaimed. Tali whipped around at him.
"What are you doing here?" Tali growled. The chikorita was taken aback.
"Don't you remember me?" He asked hopefully.
"Yes. So why are you here?" Tali roared. She had become very protective lately.
