A Magical Trip in Wonderland: A Magical Trip in Wonderland: Chapter 2

by TooBlue12

TooBlue12 This is the second chapter of a fan story about Wonderland involving some characters that I have used in a role play. I am always happy to get advice and any critiquing. So feel free to comment.
The two girls continued to fall further and further down the rabbit hole. Red was thinking about all the ways she was going to get revenge on Blue for causing this. Blue was more afraid of what was happening, but couldn't help feeling that this seemed familiar in a way. They were able to get a quick view of some of their surroundings in the rabbit hole on the way down as they fell. The sides had some green moss growing, and roots from trees and other plants sticking out with some rocks occasionally mixed in with the dirt.

As they continued to fall in the unnaturally deep rabbit hole; Anya, who usually goes by Blue, noticed some old wooden cabinets and shelves as they fell by them.

Even Ruby, who like Anya, goes by a different name most of the time, spotted the wooden furniture. She even spotted paintings!
It was difficult to get a good look for either of the girls as they fell down quickly though.

Just as it seemed like they would never reach the end and the fall would last forever; both of the girls were able to see the ground approaching. Thankfully both of the sixteen-year-olds landed on an abnormally largely grown mushroom and bounced off it. They were sent flying from the momentum, and into a large pile of leaves and pillows. The feathers and leaves went everywhere. The debris from the crash obscured their vision until things settled down.

Both of them crawled from the out from the pile very disoriented from the whole ordeal. They looked at each other and immediately noticed a difference from before.

“What are we wearing?....” Blue asked very confused and still disoriented.

Blue was now wearing a blue colored dress with loose sleeves that went to her elbows. They had white loose strings around them tied into loose bows.
The blue dress went down a bit below her knees.

The dress had a small white collar to match the ribbons and white frills around the edges of the dress. A long white apron to match was on the front of the blue dress reaching just to the bottom of her dress. Going no longer than the dress did.
Black old fashioned boots with black laces were on her feet. They were all laced up neatly.

Red also was somehow wearing something different than before.
It was a shorter crimson red dress. Shorter then the dress Blue had.
It had puffy short sleeves with a thin white frill along the edges.
A small short apron was on her front. It didn't even go to the bottom of her dress, only midway.
She was wearing white tights with black strips on her legs.
She had Victorian style ankle boots that laced up like Blue’s.

The two didn't know how or when they changed. Perhaps during the fall or when the landed? It was very different from their normal attire, and quite a shock to be suddenly changed.

“Well forget this. Let's just get out of here!” Red said eager to stop things quickly and end this adventure before things got too crazy for her liking.

The two girls looked around trying to find an exit. They were eventually able to spot an entry to some sort of hallway. It had high ceilings and many doors. Lit up by old oil lanterns on the walls. At the end of the hallway was a glass table with a little bottle on it. The bottle contained a clear liquid and a tag that read drink me. Blue picked up the bottle a read it out loud. “Drink me…..huh, I think I know where we are.”

“Oh really? Do tell. “ Red retorted with an annoyed expression across her face.

“Well, we are in Wonderland obviously! I recognize this bottle and hallway! Even that rabbit hole now makes sense!” Blue exclaimed.

“So you have been to this place before?”

“No, I have only read stories about this place. Its my favorite story of all time!”

“Well, then you should know how to get out of this Wonderland.”

“Um….well….not exactly. The main character Alice got out because of the queen of hearts. It was also all a dream for her …..could we be dreaming?“

Red then pinched Blue on the arm.
“Ow! Why did you do that?!”

“To see if you were dreaming you bloody idiot. You aren’t, I know I am not. So let's get past that ridiculous idea that we are dreaming this. We should be focusing on a way back, not on stupid ideas!”

“Okay okay, sorry. I was just trying to help grumpy pants.”

Red then gave a threatening glare towards Blue. Blue then after seeing the glare the girl gave a nervous laugh. She then said, “Anyways….in the story, Alice after she came down the rabbit hole, ended up right where we are now. She went through a super small door to get out of this hallway, and further into Wonderland. So we should do the same. Perhaps someone out there could help us get back home.”

“Well, that sounds ridiculous. Whoever wrote the stupid book should have taken their medication more often. Where is this small ‘door’ anyway?” Ruby, also known as Red said with her arms crossed.

Blue looked around for a moment. After spotting a curtain on a wall closest to the glass table she let out a small cry of delight. She then moved the curtain revealing a small wooden door with a small golden doorknob. “See, exactly like I said. A small door we need to go through. Now, where is the key for it? I believe that in the book Alice had to unlock it with a key before she was able to go through the little door.”

“Have you even tried to see if it is unlocked? Oh, and here is an idea. How about trying one of the doors we can actually go through?!” Blue's opposite said as she marched over to the nearest normal sized door. She tried to open the door swiftly, but with no success. The door would not budge. It was locked firmly.

“See, I told you that we can't go through the normal doors. You are right about trying to see if the small one is already unlocked. I will try it now.” said the brown-haired cheerful teen as she bent down. She then proceeded to carefully twist the tiny doorknob on the miniature door. The door opened effortlessly. Blue was easily able to open the door. She tilted her head as she was on her knees right next to the door. She was automatically able to smell the scent of the ocean. It overloaded her nostrils with the smell of salt water. She could hear crashing waves on a beach. She could see sand. The door lead to a beach. In the distance, she could see figures. Almost animal like they seemed to be conversing. It was hard to tell since they were so far away. Blue considered calling out to them, but she threw that thought away. There was no need for her to do that yet if she can get Red to cooperate. All they needed to do was drink from the small glass bottle with the Drink me note on it. Then Blue knew for a fact they would shrink allowing for them both to walk through the door.

Blue then stood up and smiled and said, “Well as you can see it isn't locked. Now we just need to drink from this!” She then held the little bottle up.

“There is no way I will drink from that stupid little bottle. I don't want to have to go through a bunch of trouble to go through that specific door.”

“Trouble? You literally just need to take a sip of this and walk through a door. It is no trouble at all. If you want I can-” Red didn't even let Blue finish talking. She was determined to do things her way. Even if they turned out causing more trouble than the normal way would. She was very stubborn and liked to face any problems head-on with full force. She was showing these exact traits of her’s as she started kicking one of the nearest normal sized wooden door.

“Uh, are you trying to kick the door down?” Blue said with a comically large sweat drop going down the side of her face.

“No, I am just high-fiving it with my foot!” Red sarcastically retorted with a grunt. She then jumped doing a roundhouse kick and successfully forcing the door to open.

Blue just stood there, not even really surprised that Red took to doing that instead of just doing things like the book said to do.

Red stood with a smirk and looked through the door. “Well enough standing around. Let's go.” She said them walked through the door she opened. Blue then followed behind while shaking her head slightly disappointed, yet still impressed.
