Welcome back to the Lab! Today our Pokemon is Cotlyon!

#020 Cotlyon
Grass Type
Cotton Cub Pokemon
I almost ended up with no research on Cotlyon, because Rain refused to let go of it! And who can blame her, it is very cute! Although it is a young lion, Cotlyon is very affectionate and is known to get very attached to it's trainer. If anyone attacks their friends, however, Cotlyon will quickly turn and attack to defend those it cares about.

Due to its Leaf guard ability, which heals all status problems when it is sunny, Cotlyon obviously loves hot weather! It makes a point to avoid the wind, however, as its cotton spore mane can easily be blown away. It is said that catching one of these spores is good luck. Cotlyon's tail acts like a root, and absorbs moisture from the air that it needs in order to grow the leaves that cover it's back.

At lower levels, Cotlyon uses basic attacks such as Tackle and Bite but soon grows to learn moves such as Absorb and Mega Drain, which employ its above average Special Attack stat. It has to be quick, however, as Cotlyon is rather lacking in defenses! it may not be the most fearsome Pokemon yet, but that soon changes once it evolves!

So, join us tomorrow to meet the evolved form of Cotlyon, Dandylyon!
