Alright kids, you and your Undertales and goat moms and 'Sans'es and whatnot seem to be all the rage these days, so, I decided to give it a go, but I figured I'd try and have some extra fun with it while I'm at it. So, inspired by the likes of folks like Psycho Monkey, I'm doing a Let's Play Journal to give my sort of perspective on the game's plot as I trod forward. This first part was somewhat difficult to get right at first, considering I got the idea for this after playing through a somewhat hefty portion of the game and starting anew, but the way the game recalls past saves managed to make this far more interesting of a story to tell, one now sprinkled with regret and redemption, or perhaps simply adding more to what was already there? We shall see, or, more likely I shall see since I'm sure many of you have finished the game in some form by now. Ah well, either way I hope you enjoy my take on it.
Do I Know That Person? by Mr.RMA
The Undertale playthrough continues! Now the quest is truly underway as we escape the ruins and walk into the snow-covered outside world. Here, our protagonist must stow away the guilt of their past life to make proper amends, though will they have the capacity to fight aggression with pacifism and mercy? This first leg of their journey will be the first trial, with pun-spewing skeletons, a wistful snowman, and dogs... some very interesting dogs.
Pleas Pet Dog by Mr.RMA
Continuing on this Undertale playthrough, we've got more simple puzzles to solve, more monsters to spare, and more puns to withstand! As Snowdin approaches, our hero must face plenty more canine foes, all very peculiar and strangely adorable, yet deadly. Will the remorseful human make it to the village ahead intact? Well, I mean, yeah, I'd probably just start over from a save point if I died and all that, this isn't some nuzlocke or anything... but I need a hook and that seemed like a good one, so, read on to find out!
I Pity You by Mr.RMA
Having reached the town of Snowdin, our protagonist, still unnerved by the prospect of repeating one of the larger regrets of their previous journey through the underground, takes a moment to take in the sights of the village they so brazenly passed by before. They soon find there was plenty more to learn from this small little community.
Someplace Really Special by Mr.RMA
After a hiatus that just kept going and going, I've returned to my written playthrough of Undertale... With basically a filler episode! Best comeback ever, you don't even have to tell me how important and not at all a waste of time this chapter was, I totally get it. |'D But yeah, here's where our protagonist "dates" Papyrus. Fun times in store.
