If I could, I probably would - I'm a web developer, not an app developer, and Nintendo like bouncing Pokémon apps off the App Store anyway. :)

Besides, just push the middle button on the toolbar on the bottom of your browser and choose Add to Home Screen -because our website is mobile-optimised anyway, you can just add the site as an "app"

That doesn't really explain anything, but I guess you meant you wanted iOS push notifications when you get alerts on the site.

Basically: I wish. :p Webapps, like your home screen icon for the site, can't send notifications at all. You need a native App Store app.
