I've been an active part of the community since 2007, and so I got experienced in helping out around the site as a regular member. Eventually the staff needed another member, so I was added as a mod, and I was promoted later after I helped out with some code fixes a few years back

and last question,how is someone able to get a job?

Teapot

If you mean as staff, you basically get picked for the job and offered it. We tend to choose the people who have been around a long time, and have been consistent (in other words, they visit regularly and don't randomly disappear for really long stretches of time).

There's no specific requirements, though – other than knowing the community really well and being mature enough to wield the power responsibly, it's mostly a case of how well someone would fit in with the staff, and how they treat others in the community.

Are there any restrictions to posting if you're a part of the staff? Just curious.

@SUPERRNOVAA Not really, we abide by all the same rules as everyone else does. :)

If you report something does it go to all staff?

Yup, it goes into a special area that only staff can see. We've got an extra icon, sort of like the Alerts but in a different place, that lights up and tells us how many reports we have
