@MelodyEevee One of the staff are going to write a full article about it, but Satoru Iwata was the president and CEO of Nintendo. He was also an astoundingly good programmer - he did stuff like managing to completely rewrite the Red/Blue battle system for Pokémon Stadium in a week. Without any sort of documentation or help. He's basically one of the main reasons Nintendo made the games it did.

He was an absolutely extraordinary influence on Nintendo, and perhaps one of the finest programmers and leaders to come out of the games industry. :)
