What's your reasoning for converting, and what's stopping you from doing so?

@Kyubeon The usual reason for "converting" to atheism is pretty obvious when you think about what the word means. :p

ive been thinking it over and none of the bible or any of that stuff makes sense, and none of it may have happened

Well, I can understand that - I identify as somewhere between agnostic and atheist (i.e., I'm pretty sure there isn't a "God", but believe no-one can be certain either way). Really, you've got to find your own place in the whole thing - believe your gut, question everything, seek different viewpoints to see which make more sense.

And remember, different views aren't necessarily conflicting - me and @Kyubeon are still friends, despite having different opinions in politics and religion. xp

I guess i'm a one-of-a-kind individual,i mean,i belive in both science and religion, and the theories they both present. Maybe God put the evolution marching

@AkenabeShiro That's actually a very common belief among Christians (who aren't fundamentalists, anyway) - they believe God started off things and created the systems that run the universe - science is just discovering how they work.

I used to be a faithful one, myself. I don't know exactly why I stopped...

Was there anything about it that you disagreed with?

Not that I can think of... I just stopped going to church and reading the Bible a while back, and haven't gone since.
