A surprise reveal was made today as the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online has now been released in the form of an iPad app. The app hit Canada earlier this week and has since been added to the US and UK iTunes store.
A nice shiny trailer showing the trailer off was release and can be viewed above. If you want to download and use the app then your iPad must be running iOS 7 or higher.
It's also worth noting on my iPad Mini the app is crashing shortly after booting it up, it's unclear if it's a common problem or just something I'm experiencing but either way it's worth keeping in mind.
A fine day for Pokémon fans today as Nintendo of Europe has been busy making a few quiet announcements related to the latest games, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
First off Nintendo revealed two new 2DS designs will be making their way to Europe in the form of a transparent Red and a transparent blue console. The two will be sold on their own from the 7th of November and from the 28th of November will also be offered as a bundle with a copy of either Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. The two designs remind us a lot of the transparent cartridges that the original Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire had...
Nintendo also shared details on how they're going to handle the demo for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire in the UK....
It has been confirmed that Pokémon Center stores in Japan will be stocking limited edition New 3DS consoles to go alongside the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
The consoles feature either Groudon or Kyogre and comes bundled with a copy of either Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire. They will be released in Japan on the 21st of November.
It has also been revealed that Japan will be getting a soundtrack for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire on the 6th of December. Considering we now have soundtracks for all the games from the original Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire right up to Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, chances are the soundtrack will be released outside of Japan not long after.
Yesterday this month's edition of CoroCoro began to leak and brought with it the reveal of three brand new Mega Pokémon, but today the last page of the magazine with information on Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire has surfaced.
It hasn't revealed much information, however it does show Rayquaza and states the Pokémon is said to be related to the secret of Mega Evolution. Chances are this means that Rayquaza will have the ability to Mega Evolve, but we'll have to wait and see on that front.
Following on from yesterday's reveal we also now know what ability Mega Gallade is given when it Mega Evolves. Once Mega Evolved Mega Gallade obtains the ability Inner Focus.
Yesterday we brought you the news that GameStop stores in the US would be giving away serial codes for a Shiny Gengar and Diancie during the Autumn. Good news for UK Pokémon fans today as the same distribution has been announced for us as well.
Our dates for the events differ greatly from the US. From the 15th of October until the 5th of November you'll be able to get a serial code from video game retailer GAME for a Shiny Gengar holding the Gengarite Mega Stone.
From the 6th of November through until the 28th of November you'll be able to get your hands on Diancie from GAME for your Pokémon X or Pokémon Y game.
Now that we’ve gotten into September and the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire isn’t that far away video games stores across the world have been revealing the pre-order bonuses being offered for the two games. Last week it was revealed that Japanese Monthly Famitsu would be making a shocking announcement. Said announcement has today been made in the form of Pokken Tournament, a fighting game closely related to the Tekken series.
The game is being handled by Bandai Namco and has involvement from Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada. Currently the game has only been confirmed for Japan where it will be released next year as an arcade game, but hopefully a port to the Wii U or 3DS isn't out of the question if the game ever makes it outside of Japan.
The president of the Pokémon Company was asked a question by viewers about why they decided to do an arcade game, his answer made it sounds as though the intention is to have it in arcades first and then release it on console after awhile. Oddly enough the official Pokémon YouTube channel for outside of Japan has also put up a trailer for...
Once upon a time, in the depths of the late 90s, Pokemon and Mr Monopoly had a mutually beneficial baby and it's name was, predictably, Monopoly: Pokemon Edition. It was fairly succesful, and has since gone on to be an actually quite expensive piece of Pokemon tat for collectors.
Following on from the announcement of a Legend of Zelda version of Monopoly, however, Monopoly and Pokemon are back together and riding the nostalgia train all the way back to the 90s with Monopoly: Pokemon Kanto Edition. This time, instead of the generic anime artwork, however, the official artwork from the Fire Red and Leaf Green games takes centre-stage - but just as before,...
It has been announced that a special edition of Monthly Famitsu will stream on NicoNico and reveal a surprising Pokémon announcement on the 26th of August.
It's currently unclear what the announcement will be, but we do know that the president of the Pokémon company Tsunekazu Ishlhara will be a guest on the stream. Right now the announcement could be a game, anime, or a range of other things. We can't pin it down to one subject, so we shall have to wait and see what happens!
