Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
A demo for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire has gone live in Japan and as gamers begin to play through it they have discovered two brand new Mega Pokémon!
Our first Mega Pokémon is a Mega Steelix. The typing of the Pokémon is Steel and Ground and we know it gets the Sand Force ability.
Our next Mega Pokémon comes in the form of a Mega Glalie, which is a pure Ice Type and gets the Refrigerate ability.
The demo for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will be given to US Pokémon fans starting tomorrow through a Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter.
In the UK the demo is being given through the Nintendo Zone in GAME stores, and being sent out to some people who pre-ordered the games through the Nintendo UK Store, Amazon and ShopTo. A number of StreetPass...
A brand new trailer for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire has now been released covering the information from this month's CoroCoro. The new trailer can be found below:
The trailer doesn't really give us much in the way of new information. From various interviews going around we do know now that trainer customisation will not be included in these games.
CVG have published a rather insightful article about the games, and an interesting interview, which you can find right here.
The latest edition of Japanese magazine CoroCoro has started to leak this morning and brought with it the official reveal of four brand new Mega Pokémon.
First up we have the reveal of Mega Beedrill. This Mega has been given the ability Adaptability and keeps its Bug and Poison typing. It also gets a boost in its Attack and Speed stats.
Next up we have a Mega Pidgeot! This Pokémon keeps its Normal and Flying typing and gains the ability No Guard. It has also been stated that the Mega will be getting a boost in its Special Attack stat.
The magazine has also officially revealed the Mega evolutions for Latios and Latias. It's said that during your adventure the player will befriend one of the two and be able to fly through the skies with them thanks to a new item known as the Eon Flute.
While flying through the skies players...
A seven hour special Pokémon stream was shown in Japan today and right at the end a surprise reveal was made in the form of Mega Rayquaza for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. The Mega was revealed by the official Pokémon YouTube channel for outside of Japan straight afterwards and you can see a trailer for the Pokémon below:
Mega Rayquaza can learn a special Flying type move known as Dragon Ascent which is said to be extremely powerful. Mega Rayquaza also has a new ability known as Delta Stream which means all other weather abilities and moves will not work as long as the Pokémon remains in battle. It's worth noting that the ability also makes it so moves that Flying type Pokémon are normally weak to will only deal normal damage to any Flying type in battle. Mega Rayquaza also gets a boost in all its stats and remains a Dragon and Flying type Pokémon.

A fine day for Pokémon fans today as Nintendo of Europe has been busy making a few quiet announcements related to the latest games, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
First off Nintendo revealed two new 2DS designs will be making their way to Europe in the form of a transparent Red and a transparent blue console. The two will be sold on their own from the 7th of November and from the 28th of November will also be offered as a bundle with a copy of either Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. The two designs remind us a lot of the transparent cartridges that the original Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire had...
Nintendo also shared details on how they're going to handle the demo for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire in the UK....
It has been confirmed that Pokémon Center stores in Japan will be stocking limited edition New 3DS consoles to go alongside the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
The consoles feature either Groudon or Kyogre and comes bundled with a copy of either Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire. They will be released in Japan on the 21st of November.
It has also been revealed that Japan will be getting a soundtrack for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire on the 6th of December. A brand new trailer has just been released by the official Pokémon YouTube channel showing off Mega Gallade, Mega Sharpedo and Mega Camerupt, who were all discovered in the CoroCoro leaks a couple of days ago. The trailer can be viewed below:
The trailer doesn't reveal a great deal of note, although it does give us some interesting information on the abilities Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon have. When their abilities, Desolate Land and Primordial Sea, come into effect no weather moves will work. When Desolate Land is in effect water type moves will no longer work and when Primordial Sea is in effect Fire Type moves will no longer be usable.
Alongside the trailer we've also learnt that a demo for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will be downloadable through the 3DS' eShop with the use of a special code. How you obtain this code is yet to be revealed, but we'll bring details...
Yesterday this month's edition of CoroCoro began to leak and brought with it the reveal of three brand new Mega Pokémon, but today the last page of the magazine with information on Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire has surfaced.
It hasn't revealed much information, however it does show Rayquaza and states the Pokémon is said to be related to the secret of Mega Evolution. Chances are this means that Rayquaza will have the ability to Mega Evolve, but we'll have to wait and see on that front.
Following on from yesterday's reveal we also now know what ability Mega Gallade is given when it Mega Evolves. Once Mega Evolved Mega Gallade obtains the ability Inner Focus.
This month's edition of Japanese magazine CoroCoro has started to leak and this month brings with it the reveal of three brand new Mega Pokémon to be introduced in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
The first Mega to be revealed this month is a Mega Gallade. Mega Gardevoir was introduced in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, so it seems fitting that Wally would find himself with a Mega Gallade. Nothing about the Mega Evolution is currently known.
Next up we have a Mega Sharpedo which has the ability Strong Jaw when Sharpedo Mega Evolves. Apparently all of the Pokémon's stats are boosted when it Mega Evolves.
Lastly we have a Mega Camerupt. When...
