Good news for Pokémon trainers in the UK today as two distributions for Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are currently live.

First up you have a chance to get your hands on a shiny Yveltal by going to your local Smyths toy shop, who are providing codes for the legendary bird. This ongoing event runs until the 15th of September, so make sure to pick one up quickly - especially as codes are in a limited supply. The details of Yveltal are as follows:

Name: Yveltal
Nature: Random
Level: 100
Ability: Dark Aura
Held Item: None
Moves: Oblivion Wing, Sucker Punch, Dark Pulse, Foul Play
The opening event for the Pokemon Worlds tournament has taken place in San Francisco today (and don't worry that you weren't able to watch it live - neither was anyone else). In it there was some news about the TCG and the announcement of 4 new Pokemon - 3 of which we're seeing outside of Japan for the first time and one of which is brand new to everyone.
Today at the Gamescom 2016 event in Germany, a whole new Pokémon has been revealed - say hello to the Blast Turtle Pokémon, Turtonator!
Following yesterday's official reveal of new Pokemon, new Alolan forms and Team Skull, the Japanese Pokemon Site added, along with the details of the newly revealed Pokemon, seemingly entirely random pages featuring both Aragonite and Zubat, then sent out this cryptic tweet:

The text effectively translates to 'Dragonite and Zubat arrive in Sun and Moon! Stay tuned to learn more about these familliar Pokemon!", and neither the twitter account nor the official site goes into any more detail on why they've suddenly given prominence to these Pokemon in relation to Sun and Moon.
Official channels have released another video containing some new information. Most of it is things that we have already seen in the Corocoro leak - but some of it is brand new.

Wishiwashi_SoloForm_RGB_72dpi. Wishiwashi_SchoolForm_RGB_72dpi.
Yowashi, revealed through the Corocoro leak, has been given the English name Wishiwashi and the classification of the Small Fry Pokémon. It is indeed quite small and frail - but under certain conditions, its Schooling ability allows it to transform into its School Form when it is sent out - which presumably makes it much more powerful and not just larger. The exact conditions have not yet been revealed - though according to the trailer, a certain Level is required. A Japanese trailer seems to also suggest that when A Wishiwashi school is hit - or at least dropped down beyond a certain HP value, the school dissipates and leaves the Solo Form fish to fend for itself. Good help is so hard to trawl for these days.

Moving away from the fish but still into sea creature territories, we have Pyukumuku - a Water -type Sea Cucumber Pokémon with a tongue-twister name, some incredible obsessive-compulsive disorder about returning to their favorite spot - and much like their real life counterparts, a penchant for defensive self-evisceration. Pyukumuku's ability, Innards Out, allows it to deliver one final hit to an opponent that makes it faint - by expelling its fist-shaped innards and punching the opponent with them. The damage it does is equal to the amount of HP it had prior to being knocked out.

And on to something completely different, we have a new and bioluminescent Mushroom Pokémon - Morelull, the Illuminating Pokémon. It is a Grass / Fairy -type - a lovely allusion to both the phenomenon of 'fox...
Yowashi solo form.png
This month's edition of CoroCoro has leaked and brought with it the reveal of some new Pokémon and new Alola Forms for existing Pokémon. Thanks to this issue we've also learnt about Team Skull, who are the evil team that you must defeat in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.

Yowashi Swarm form.
First up for new Pokémon we have Yowashi, who is a new Water Pokémon that has two different forms. The first form is known as its solo form, while it also has a swarm form where its appearance changes to that of a big fish.

Nuikoguma pokemon.
Next up we have Nuikoguma, who is the pre-evolved form of Bewear. Nuikoguma is a Normal / Fighting Pokémon.

Sunaba pokemon. Shirodesuna pokemon.
Finally for new Pokémon we have Sunabā and Shirodesuna. Both Pokémon are Ghost / Ground types and look like sand castles of sorts. Shirodesuna is the evolved form of Sunabā.

As mentioned earlier some new Alola form Pokémon have also been revealed.

Meowth Alola form.
First up we have a Alola form Meowth, who is a Dark Pokémon rather than Meowth's usual Normal typing.

Alola Marowak form.
Finally for Alola forms, we have the new Alolan Marowak, who is a Fire / Ghost type now instead of the usual Ground typing.

Team Skull image.
Last up the final scan showed off some of the members of Team Skull, the evil team present in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. The image also confirms that next month's edition of CoroCoro will reveal the evolved form of Rockruff.
Volcanion thing.png
The official Pokémon Twitter account has confirmed that a Volcanion distribution will be happening this October for owners of Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

Volcanion will be given away through codes given out at Gamestop stories in America. The event has been confirmed for Europe as well and lists Gamestop as giving away codes in Italy and Germany. Presumably it will be given out by GAME in the UK. The details of the Volcanion are as follows:

Name: Volcanion
Nature: Random
Level: 70
Ability: Water Absorb
Held Item: Rage Candy Bar
Moves: Steam Eruption, Overheat, Hydro Pump, Mist

Volcanion is being distributed to celebrate the release of the latest Pokémon movie in English, which has been titled Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel. A trailer for the movie has been released and can be viewed below:

Arceus - Anime Style.png
Once again a new mythical Pokémon is now available as part of the Pokémon 20th Anniversary celebration. For the month of August the god goat Arceus is up for grabs. If you'd like to add this Arceus to your collection you'll need to venture outside of your home and obtain a download code from a gaming retail store.

As usual, the store giving out the codes varies depending on which country you live in:
  • United States - Gamestop
  • Canada - EBGames
  • United Kingdom - GAME
  • Australia and New Zealand - EBGames
Like with all of the previous monthly mythical Pokémon distributions, you can use your code within the Mystery Gift menu to download Arceus onto a copy of Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. The codes will be available from August 1st to August 24th (while supplies last) and can be redeemed until November 30th, 2016. Get yours while you can!

Finally, here are the stats for this month's Arceus:

Name: Arceus
Nature: Random
Level: 100
Ability: Multitype
Held Item: None
Moves: Judgement, Recover, Hyper Beam, Perish Song

Anyone psyched to get their hands on Pokémon GO Plus, the rather pricey companion device for Pokémon GO? Then you'll likely be sad to hear that its release window has been pushed back from July until September 2016.

Note that we've only been given another release window, so an exact launch date for Pokémon GO Plus has yet to be revealed. We'll let you know once we know more - or if it sees further delays!
